THE RSVP

September 09 – The Body Shop Party

I arrived to Jamie-Lees house early, it was the first time I had been to her house and was gob smacked when not only did I realise it was the same layout as the house I grew up in but the renovations they had done and are doing make it look amazing while still keeping that cosy home feel.

Once we were all seated, Nicki opened the party up with a "break the ice" game, gotta love them. We all had a pen and paper and had to keep our eyes closed while drawing a face, but we were only allowed to draw each part of the face when Nicki said it. So drawing an outline, then eyes, then having to guess where your outline was to put the ears on was not an easy task. There were lots of comments (I can't repeat) flying around the room once people could look at what they had drawn. Each part of our drawings was a mark out of ten – I didn't get many marks but only cause my pen stopped working when I thought I was drawing. Deborah had a masterpiece considering she drew it blind and won a bottle of champagne. I think there was some cheaters (ladies you know who you are) that had drawn faces that were drawn too perfectly for eyes that were meant to be closed!

Jamie-Lees house ended up smelling like a fruit factory after 14 ladies had finished sampling the best 15 products of The Body Shop. I don't know about anyone else but I spent too much – it was all so good! So I think Nicki walked away with some good sales.

This Ladies Day, 10 out of the 14 ladies were new so I got up after Nicki's presentation to tell them what "Ladies Day" is all about. The 10 new ladies received their welcome present (which every new lady does at their first "Ladies Day"), Kelly won the raffle prize, well done and Deborah was awarded the "Ladies Day Legend" trophy for being such a good supporter of "Ladies Day". Deborah was introduced to us earlier this year by one of my friends, has then since introduced us to another wonderful lady and is not afraid to venture out to a "Ladies Day" by herself and make new friends.

A great day was ended with Jamie-Lee, Amanda and Vanessa (who I only met that day, %&#!ing hilarious ladies) and myself vegging out with some champagne and good chit chat. That's what I call a great "Ladies Day".

Bye for now Ladies

Anita xoxo
