November 09 - Lunch @ Clarendon
A quiet but nice ladies day, I think everyone went into hibernation when they said it was going to be 36 degrees on Sunday so we were only a small group – but we had BIG fun!
Firstly, our Shoe lady Sharon had to be cancelled because of such small numbers considering she was travelling from out north.
So I put my thinking cap on and decided we couldn't have our picnic because of the hot weather so we would all meet at Narelle's house to see her jewellery
and then move onto the Royal Oak Hotel at Clarendon for lunch.
I must say Narelles jewellery is gorgeous, glass blown gems with all different colours and designs ranging in everything from hairpins to rings.
Myself, Dawn, Mel and Anne proved it by spending quite a bit of money. I think everything that we picked up to look at we would all say "oh I love that"
or "I gotta have this one and this one". I think Narelle was a very happy camper.
After getting our BLING fix we arrived at the Royal Oak Hotel about 1pm to be greeted by our waitress an Irish traveller –
very cool accent. She was telling us how hard she was finding the hot weather to handle considering she had only arrived in June and I don't think we have had a day
over 20 degrees since June until now – well it feels like that anyway.
I was planning on taking lots of photos both at Narelles house and at lunch but we were all having such great conversations that I had a total brain
meltdown and it wasn't until I got home later that afternoon that I saw my camera in my bag and…well some not very nice words came out my mouth.
Lunch was delicious, everyone was stuffed like turkeys when we had finished but myself, Narelle and Melissa still had a little room left for dessert.
Anne won the raffle prize, a serving plate and a cute little note book. As for the Ladies Day Legend Trophy it was decided by everyone that I
should be the winner for this month – they said because of my efforts with organising things for each month and especially this month as it was a bit of messing
around with phone calls and rearranging – oh thanks guys, I'm chuffed.
Thanks ladies for a great day and I hope to see a few more faces in December, Luv Anita xo
