June 09 – A True Touch of Colour

It was a miserable, cold and wet night weather wise that is, so it made it even more perfect to be in the warm and cosy board room of the SSBEC (Anita's work). As everyone arrived they set themselves up with a drink and a cup Denisse's home made Spicy Pumpkin soup which was absolutely delicious! Everyone sat around the table with beautiful candles, aromatherapy oils wofting through the room and listening to the fabulous "Ladies Day" CD that Anne happened to still have in her car since last July when they were given out as gifts. We all had a great natter with Cherie who was then 7 months pregnant with her showing us her 4D scan photos and us asking her a million and one questions.

After supper we settled down to listen to Marianne and Dorte give us some skin care "danger" information and what particular chemicals in some products are bad for your skin. This was followed by each of us getting an amazing hand scrub with only sugar and water then moisturised with "Extra Gentle Hand & Body Lotion" – it was so nice!

Cherie was the lucky one who scored the pampering facial, we all had a giggle when she looked like something from Phantom of the Oprah and we all did our very best not to make her laugh for 20 minutes, honestly we did! Afterwards Cherie said her face felt amazing and her skin did look very fresh.

Next was Anne who received the 20 minute makeover and not only did I get some very useful make up tips from Dorte who did Anne's make up but I have to say Anne looked amazing afterwards. Like another woman (please, this is meant to be a compliment) we all know that make up not only emphasises our beautiful features but gives us more confidence, he he. Marianne and Dorte made us all feel very spoilt, they supplied 3 raffle prizes and also gave myself and Aimee a gorgeous gift of "Wrinkle Drops" (might as well start early – well not that early, I will be 30 this year, yikes!).

Towards the end of the night Aimee and I spent 10 minutes outside in the freezing cold saying goodbye to Cherie and when everyone else started to leave and we were packing up we realised we had not given the "Ladies Day Legend Trophy" to her rightful owner for the month of June. Cherie distracted us so much with her pregnancy stories we had let her go with no trophy – so she was delighted when it was delivered to her door the next day and for the reason of, well we just luv you Cherie!
