January 09 – Loads of Linen

A great afternoon tea hosted at Dawn & Shelley’s house (Dawn who normally works weekends jumped at the chance to have a “Ladies Day” at her house while she was on holidays).

Jenny from “Loads of Linen” arrived at 1.30pm to set up her display for the ladies, I didn’t realise it would take a team of 4 nearly half and hour to unload her car! Dawn’s house was looking very much like a “Designer Direct” super store and the fun began when they ladies arrived at 2pm.

I think all 14 ladies where in their element, spending a good bit of 2 hours feeling, looking and smelling new linen. The orders spoke for themselves, making over $600 in sales I think Jenny was a very happy sales consultant and myself I was pretty happy too when my $70 order dropped down to $20 with 2 bonus alfresco pillows thrown in the mix (which will part of the raffle prize for March 09’s event).

After everyone stuffing their gobs with Dawn’s amazing afternoon tea there was no mistaken that the Legend trophy had to be awarded to Dawn. Meg won the raffle prize of a bottle of wine and some lavender body lotions. We had 3 new members which received a special gift (you only find what this is if you attend a “Ladies Day”) and they were, Liz, Rhelma and Kerrie absolutely lovely ladies, you all are and we hope to see you at many more “Ladies Days” to come.
