December 08 – It’s our Birthday

Welcome glorious Ladies to the latest edition of the RSVP for December!

In my humble opinion, this was the best Ladies Day yet, and with our very FIRST birthday, we had our biggest turnout to date - 22 Ladies, all ready to celebrate the wonderful year we've had. Awesome Anita and I, Amazing Aimee, can't believe that it's been one year already. On one hand, it's gone so fast, on the other, we've done SO much, and it must be longer surely?! And how did we do it? I alone know.... AWESOME, UNBELIVEABLE, OUTSTANDING, BRILLIANT, NEVER-EVER-SEEMING-TORUN-OUT-OF-ENERGY ANITA I! I guess the time has come to reveal a little secret that I think more than one of you already suspects. It's true. Anita IS a robot. She is the latest in A.I. technology and has been on an integration program for the last year and I for one think she is great. How on EARTH do you think Ladies Day gets pulled off every month?! All that planning and organizing and the arranging of every little detail? No human - or two! - could POSSIBLY do Ladies Day - month after month, and to such high standards. (Just act natural around her though Ladies; we don't want Anita to know that her secret is out)

My meal at Margarita's Mexican Restaurant was actually my first Mexican meal ever and I loved it! Also, make sure you buy a SPRITZER, with or without alcohol, when you go next. They are the HEAVEN! Red or blue, a sugared rim, tiny umbrellas and wedges of pineapple! They tasted great too - what more could you ask for in a drink?! ! (well Lady Lisa DID seem to like the vodka and gin, so maybe that ...) The food was delicious and the service was remarkable considering that it was all done by only ONE waitress! (Who, I might add, was having so much fun herself that she is now number 52 on the invite to Ladies Day list)

We had the entire restaurant to ourselves enabling us to be as loud as we liked (not that that usually stops us!) and the atmosphere was great. We welcomed first time Ladies, Lady Danielle and Lady Nat, who I'm sure we'll be seeing at many future events. With balloons and a quiz, party hats and for the first time ever - EVERYONE won the RAFFLE prize! Each Lady received her own individual birthday present, plus the top 5 winners and the wooden spoon of the Mexican Food Quiz won prizes for that too ( and while cheating is always encouraged, be careful who you ask - just because they work in a Mexican Restaurant, doesn't mean they have the correct answers. Many of you found that out the hard way.) Awesome Anita and I even received a ton of presents/bribes which we didn't expect too and a VERY big mental hug goes out to Lady Michelle, Lady Jamie-Lee, Lady Lisa and Lady Chef Steph, THANK YOU S0000 MUCH!! (and yes, bribery done now DOES carry over into the New Year). Awesome Anita and I also adhered to a very important part being a Lady - we agreed upon not getting Birthday presents for each other.. and we both lied. I LOVE my earrings, thank you chicky!

As wonderful as the whole night was, it was ALL topped by THE PINATA. Anita and I decided that all Ladies will be given a number at random and after dinner make our way to piсata - hanging from a tree in the middle of Beach Rd - where the standard rules of three hits each would apply. Someone around numbers 5, 6 or 7 will win we thought. STRIKE THAT! Instead we managed to find the only piсata ever with steel reinforcing rods and it took TWO rounds of 22 to break it, with Lady Tracy winning when she HIT SO HARD THAT SHE BROKE THE STICK and upon seizing one jagged end, got in touch with her inner Daffy and STAKED the piсata till it died! Now THAT is a Lady!! And so the LEGEND Trophy for the month of December is Lady Tracy, well done! And as for the lollies, well let's just say that I was counting my fingers. Talk about hyenas moving in on a fresh kill! Those lolly bags were filled up in no time and with only minor hair pulling and eye gouging. Coupled with the frenzy shown by all with the piсata attack, Awesome Anita and I have decided the open Piсata Therapy classes, starting in March - all Ladies Day Ladies - half price.
