August 08 – Feeling Creative
I'm afraid that I'm doing a second hand account write up of August Ladies Day; I was laid low but with you all in spirit.
Awesome Anita tells me that a fun day was had by all and the card making was improved greatly by the appearance of our new Lady, Sarah.
Who, upon seeing the "granny - ish" choice of cards that were available to make, promptly announced to the teacher that they just "wouldn't do and what else have you got"!
All to the cheers of the other Ladies - who hated the card choices as well - she gave the courage for all to rise up in the name of good card making! Huzzah!
For this act of Valor, Anita decided and rightly so, that Sarah was this month's guardian of what's left of the Ladies Day LEGEND Trophy. - more on that later.
Special thanks go to Cherie who played postman and delivered the raffle prizes to Anita for me; and well done to Jackie and Meg who each won a gorgeous large
winter mug and coaster set, perfect for hot chocolates in this rainy weather. And I believe a Toblerone was inside each one also. If not, please get in contact
with Amazing Aimee and I’ll put something of mine in contact with Cheeky Cherie for eating them on the way there.
Ladies and chocolate! I swear, we would all jump off a cliff like lemmings if someone tossed over a Mars bar.
Anita also got a surprise to find that the first raffle prize given out was actually a Surprise Present for her! She almost didn't get it though,
as the name tag on the gift had turned over and it was only Meg's good manners at reading the card first - so that's why my mum always made me do it! -
that Anita received her gift. Well done to Meg for being honest, and the next raffle prize went to her so she didn't miss out.
* Note to all Ladies, had that been the LAST present and your name was called out, ripping off the tag and keeping the gift is entirely appropriate and expected.
If you get caught, yell loudly "Where’s my Toblerone?" and look at Cherie. This should provide you with enough time to make a get away whilst all other Ladies
are busy, frantically making sure there own chocolate stashes are safe.
